Punch drunk pharmacy
No, we were not drunk in the pharmacy, that was later!
So we got to work and from the moment that we got to work none of us wanted to be there. It wasn't like I had better things to do it was just that we didn't want to be there. But it was ok. We worked but it was slow. I went to see Lois, the diabetes educator in the morning to get an idea of what she does in the hospital. That was really interesting and it gave me some wonderful ideas.
In the afternoon, I brought in snack, it was simple crackers and peanut butter. We kinda just all hung around and didn't really do anything. We were so punchy, it was funny. We were laughing and playing around and joking around. It was nice! Luke is finally warming up to me and that is really nice. He is very shy and we didn't really get a change to talk and get to know each other but this past week as been good. I do wish that I could stay longer for one reason and that is because I am starting to get to know the people so much better and really interacting with doctors and the pharmacist. I am having a blast as far as that goes.
So there was something that was really funny that happened today. I was questioning a doctor and was about to page him when John made a comment and I started talking over the intercom. I didn't really say more than two words but I about pee'd my pants again. Laura said that I turned wicked red. I am pretty sure that you all are not going to find this nearly as funny as I did but it was funny!
While we were at work, Luke brought in an Jelly roll that his mom made. (Did I mention that Luke's parents were visiting?) So he called her up and put her on speaker phone and invited us all over. It was so funny. I was totally peeing my pants! So we went over for Jelly roll and shots. It was fun. Luke's mom cut up cheese and crackers and red pepper jelly and the jelly roll. We chatted about Maine and then his parents told me that they would take a suit case back for me. I was totally excited. They are going to be in Gray (which is right next to my house) and I can get it there.
Then Pat and I went for a walk on the beach to see if we could get some pictures of people pulling up their nets. I don't have any for my scrapbook yet. So, we found one women and she was cutting up her fish. So I got pictures of fish in nets and the cutting process. Its kinda cool the way that they do it. Then we went to the grocery store. I wanted to get Chris a steak for coming to get us at the end of the wood river. It cost me $11 dollars but I felt so bad that he came to get us that I needed to buy it for him.
